After about 3 days I suffered severe cramping and heavy bleeding, very similar to a severe bladder infection which I had suffered from for years. I knew nothing about herbal abortions at the time except from a book I'd purchased a few years earlier. I had assumed that if the herbs were working that I would have started the process immediately. Therefore, when it did start a few days later, I first thought I had just brought on my period and that it was a very bad one. It was so bad , in fact, I went to the doctor, but there was no sign of a bladder infection. The bleeding and pain continued for several days--and then stopped. I never had a period like this before of after, and I have assumed that I, in fact, completed an herbal abortion.

Back in 1982 herbs were not as easily available as they are now, at least where I lived. Parsley was chosen by default since I couldn't find anything else that was listed in my book. The entire bag cost 50 cents back then.
