Name: "Keebler"
Did you have a pregnancy test? yes
Were you successful in using the herbs? not this time. Always was before using Vitamin C but each time got harder and harder. This time it failed altogether and I had to do it medically. :(
Were you using birth control? yes
What was the date of the first day of your last menstrual period? Dec 24
For how many days were the herbs used (total)? Used Vitamin C for a couple of days after intercourse. Found out it didn't work so I started using it in greater proportions (6-7 g/day) for several days (with breaks between days). That didn't work so I tried evening primrose oil twice and parsley once directly on the cervix. This only made very minimal "spotting"
What was the date the pregnancy was terminated? Going tomorrow to have it done...
Please include a summary of dosage information. And any side effects noted.
The only side effect is that Vitamin C has been known to harden the arteries of the heart (I have a VERY mild heart condition, but I did notice an accelerated heart rate). The vit.C also caused both diarrhea and constipation. The Evening Primrose Oil caused fever.

On the up side, there is now an alternative to surgery if the pregnancy is within 7 weeks. There's a "medical" abortion now available that uses only a shot in the butt to block the growth of cells and 4 tablets inserted 5-7 days later to bring on the flow. It's 95% effective but only done with in the first 49 days of pregnancy and only at certain clinics. Most say the only side effect is that the period may last up to 3-4 weeks (most only 2) and there is heavy bleeding, clotting, and cramps not unlike a miscarriage or a "bad" period. For those who are unsuccessful at herbs, I recommend looking into this method. You can go to any search engine and look up "medical abortion" (must be in quotes, though, or you'll get unrelated information). The price ranges I've seen are from $275 to $500. Mine was $350. This includes a complete exam, testing for STD's, the abortion process (the shot being the only part that takes place at the office. The rest happens at home), and 2 follow-up visits including 2 months supply of birth control pills. I have not found one yet that takes insurance. Must be paid in cash. It's cheaper though if you find a clinic for under-privileged women.
