Your Story -
I am a Mother - and loving it and hope to have more kids in the future. I have also had a clinical abortion in the past. Whilst that was a means to an end, I found it to be quite a demeaning experience. Everything was out of my hands once I stepped through the clinic door. I asked to see the ultrasound and was refused. I asked to see the 'embryo' and was refused. I asked what would be done with it and they simply said 'it will be disposed of.' I asked to be awake for the procedure and was again refused.
While the staff were friendly enough, every single person I spoke to made me feel like an idiot for being pregnant if I didn't want to be. It was so sterile and cold, there was no support from wise women, no spiritual (or even human for that matter) feel to any of it. And pregnancy is a profound experience, whether it's carried to term or not. I believe it's very important to acknowledge all the emotions that go with it with deep respect.
So when I realised I was pregnant this time, knowing I didn't want to be, the thought of revisiting such a 'cold' experience terrorised me. That's when I started asking people and searching the net for alternatives. I felt sure there would be some advice out there somewhere about some mysterious remedy. But Vitamin C and parsley!! Who would have guessed it would be something so common and readily available!
After reading other women's stories on this site, I searched elsewhere for verification. I came across only a few reports of this remedy and found a multitude of information about how good Vitamin C is for pregnancy even at very high levels! How contradictory and confusing! I decided to try it anyway and began taking Vitamin C every hour (I used 500mg chewable tablets. Sometimes 1, sometimes 2 - I'm a smoker and thought my body may need a little more. In the afternoon of the second day I started drinking parsley tea and also used a parsley pessary.)
I concentrated my thoughts and energy on asking this spirit to leave, rested alot with my hot water bottle and began bleeding on day 3. What a relief to feel in control of my body! To be able to go through the pain of giving up a pregnancy at home in my own way, with no medical intervention! (Yes it was painful in comparison to a 'normal' period, though that's to be expected as part of a physical and spiritual experience such as this.) Thank you so much Sister Zeus for putting this information out there. And thank you to all the women who have shared their wisdom.
