I have always been terrified by the idea of pregnancy. One day I might like to have a baby, but at 17 I've got so many plans for the future, it would just ruin my life. So when my period, which is usually very regular, didn't come last week, I was very scared. I tried to ignore my fear but I just ended up feeling even worse.

I had only previously heard of using Pennyroyal to induce miscarriage (from the Nirvana song, 'Pennyroyal Tea') and I had always thought it was an old wives tale. But by Monday the 5th I was 5 days late so I did an Internet search anyway, and lo and behold, found your site, which helped to ease my mind a lot. The next day I drank two cups of Parsley tea, and then went out and bought Vitamin C and Dong Quai. While I was out buying these I felt physically terrible. I had a pounding headache which may have been caused by the parsley tea and generally felt weak and dizzy. But mentally I felt better than I had in days, hopeful that the herbs would work and more in control to be actually doing something that might help. I took 300mg of Vitamin C every hour for the rest of the day, and in the evening tried 15 drops of Dong Quai in warm water. Then today, I woke up with bad cramps and realized I had started bleeding, 7 days late. My gums also bled easily, presumably as a result of all the Vitamin C. I don't know whether the herbs helped to bring it on, or whether they actually caused a miscarriage or whether it was just late, but your site certainly made me feel a lot better about the whole thing, and now I know what to do if this happens again. Thank you.
